In the summer of 1919, the Rev. Will Shanks, who was then pastor the First Baptist Church of Buhl had a dream of the establishment of a permanent site for a summer camp for the young people of the church. He decided to explore the area north of Ketchum for the establishment of such a site.
Easley Hot Springs At 80

The fall of 2008 marks the completion of improvements to the deck around Easley Hot Springs. The program of repairs and improvements was required to fix the damage from the flood of 2006. However, this is not the first time the pool has been upgraded by the Idaho Baptist Convention. For the past 80 years, American Baptists have built and renewed this facility as part of their ministry to the youth and people of southern Idaho.
The Original Story of the Bell Tower

The bell has long been the subject of “pranks”. These usually consisted of stealing the bell’s clapper in the middle of the night to buy a few extra minutes sleep in the morning. A bolt inside the bell was removed allowing the removal of the clapper. Sometime in the early 1980s, the inside piece of the bell where the clapper bolt attaches broke off. The piece was brazed back on and in the process the clapper bolt became a permanent part of the bell. Since that time bell pranks tend toward stuffing the bell with toilet paper
