Job Title: Cathedral Pines On-site Manager
Position Role:
Cathedral Pines Camp is seeking a Year-around On-site Manger.
Cathedral Pines is an American Baptist owned and operated camp located near Ketchum, Idaho on forest Service leased land on the banks of the Wood River. In addition to 10 campsites, 12 cabins that house approximately 12 people per cabin, a chapel, a lodge, and multiple staff cabins, there is a hot springs Olympic size pool and store. The camp is used continuously through the summer months and then is booked for about 50% of the week-ends during the remainder of the year.
The expected activities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the general operations of Cathedral Pines Camp and Easley Store and Pool
- Handle immediate on-site issues
- Forest Service Interaction
- Implement operating plans for the camp and pool areas
- In cooperation with the Camp Board, hire permanent and seasonal employees
- Supervise all on-site permanent and seasonal employees
- Provide staff with required training
- Handle discipline problems per policy
- Accounting of employee hours
- Manage all ordering and invoicing to match camp budget
- Maintain required access in the winter
- Provide written reports to Camp Board
- Provide on-site security for the camp
- Communicate with patrons of the camp
- Maintain camp bookings and schedules
- Negotiate camp contracts per board guidelines
- Act as camp on-site host
- Interface with camp board treasurer for budget and cash flo
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years management experience, preferably camp management
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Written and verbal communication skills required
- Exhibit a heart for Christian camping ministry
- Profess Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior
- Interact well with people
- Must pass national background check and drug screen
- Computer skills preferred
- Red Cross certified First Responder preferred
