Maintenance/Grounds Keeper

Position Role:
Maintenance/Grounds Keeper is responsible through own services and through employed summer staff for upkeep of grounds and facilities of Cathedral Pines, including Easley Pool and Store.
- Maintains records on facility and equipment repair, servicing, replacement, etc.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Ensure the maintenance and sanitary conditions of all restrooms, cabins, chapel, dining hall, etc.
- In winter months, keep roads and trails clean for guests, arranging for assistance when needed.
- Collect, cut, and split firewood for campfires and stoves, arranging for assistance when needed.
- Prepare Cathedral Pines Camp for winter/summer months.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with contractors and volunteers.
- Maintain facilities for trash collection company, gas company, and electric company, etc. at Cathedral Pines.
- Work closely with Operations committee.
- Keep and maintain fleet of vehicles in good operating condition. Repair, or supervise repair by outside service company.
- Maintain grounds at Cathedral Pines Camp to reduce risk of danger or injury to persons using grounds or facilities.
- Maintain wells and pumps in good operating condition to meet water standards including regular water sampling. Maintain grounds around wells and pumps in sanitary manner.
- Monitor sewer system.
- Be aware of applicable state and federal regulations pertaining to sewer, water, garbage, electrical, and water standards.
- Maintain grounds in off-season as recommended in consultation with the Camp Manager. Arrange jobs to take advantage of differing weather conditions.

Qualifications:
- Profess Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior
- 2-4 years maintenance/grounds keeping experience
- Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills
- Large equipment, i.e., tractor and/or back hoe experience
